Dawn Wilbert

I was raised in Detroit, Michigan. I attended Michigan State University for my undergraduate studies and graduated with a BS in Zoology with a concentration in Animal Behavior. I accepted a position at the University of Michigan in the Unit for Laboratory Animal Medicine shortly after graduation. From there I was recruited by one of the labs in Rogel Cancer Center to help manage their transgenic mouse breeding and day-to-day operations of the research lab. After several devoted years, I decided to embark on a new journey in the Frankel Institute of Heart and Brain Health under the tutelage of Dr. Jorge Ruas. I’m looking forward to seeing what exciting new discoveries are to come!
